POLICE are appealing for information after a crash and reports of youths throwing items onto the M90 near Kelty.

Officers were called to the motorway following a one-vehicle crash and claims of items thrown at 8.15pm on Tuesday, August 29.

The road was cleared at around 11.40pm and anyone who may have witnessed the crash or believes they saw youths in the area has been asked to come forward.

Sergeant Kris Robertson, from Cowdenbeath Police Station, said: “Around 8.15pm on Tuesday, 29 August, police were called to the M90 near Kelty, following a crash and reports of youths throwing items onto the roadway.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or believes they saw the youths in the area, to please come forward.

"We are also keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling on the M90 near Kelty and may have dashcam footage, which could assist our enquiries."
