CYCLISTS will have easier access to the Forth Road Bridge from North Queensferry after special channels were installed.
Bear Scotland made the additions to the steps to improve local cycle access to the village and the Forth Bridges trail.
The addition will provide a more direct option for cyclists willing to dismount and wheel their bikes up or down the existing steps.
A BEAR Scotland spokesperson said: “Thanks to investment from Transport Scotland, we installed ramps on the series of stairs on the north of the Forth Road Bridge following demand from the local community and cycle groups.
"These cycle channels are already in place on stairs to the south of the bridge and are well used.”
