BUDDING West Fife thespians will bring their acclaimed show to Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith Theatre this week.

Amelie Christie, Jaimey Scullion and Theo Hart will star when Kingdom Theatre Company presents an excerpt from their new stage musical Queen Of The New Year at the reopening of the Fife venue.

The production follows on from a successful two week run at Edinburgh Fringe at Greenside Nicolson Square.

Written by John Murray and directed by Lorraine Dobie, the show stars Queen Anne High pupil Amelie as Carrie, Dunfermline High's Jaimey as Kim, and Inverkeithing High’s Theo as Tony in a musical story of dating sites and relationships when they all end up at a New Year Party.

The trio will be part of a line up of the best of local performing talent who will perform to mark the re-opening of the Adam Smith Theatre on Saturday, September 23, following an extensive refurbishment programme.

All three already have further stage performances lined up.

Amelie will appear in the Limelight Carnegie Youth production of Les Misérables in June 2024; Jaimey will perform in the WhyNot? Production of Oliver in 2024; and Theo has parts in in both Oliver and Les Misérables.
