AN early years officer at Camdean Nursery in Rosyth has retired after a 40-year-long career.
Gillian Hynd, who has worked for Fife Council for four decades, retired this term and was presented with flowers from the school to acknowledge her long service.
Along with Lyra Russell, from Camdean Nursery, Headteacher Rosalind Frame presented Mrs Hynd with her gift.
Mrs Frame said: "As a school/nursery we would like to recognise Mrs Hynd’s hard work, dedication and professionalism during her considerable time at Camdean Nursery.

"She has worked with many individuals and groups of children with great care and consideration. She will be greatly missed by colleagues and children alike.
"We would like to wish Mrs Hynd a long, happy and restful retirement."
Mrs Hynd is now looking forward to her next chapter.
She added: "I have lots of lovely memories of my time at Camdean, too many to mention.
"What I will remember most is how much fun we had, working with the children and staff alike.
"I am looking forward to catching up with friends, learning how to research my family tree, travelling around the country in Mabel, our motor home, and making new memories with my family"
