Young visitors to four venues in the city’s historic Heritage Quarter can pick up their free PAST-PORT and take part in a variety of activities including creating their own cottages and castles, making stained glass windows, exploring a day in the life of an Abbey monk, and other fun and creative ways to experience home life through the ages.

Dunfermline Press:

By completing the activities offered by the Abbey Church of Dunfermline, Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum, Historic Scotland’s Dunfermline Abbey Nave and Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries and collecting all four stamps, children will be rewarded with a certificate.

The HQ Explorer PAST-PORT scheme has proven highly popular with local families and visitors to Dunfermline over recent years, with activities to suit a wide range of ages and ability levels, and opportunities for families to learn about their local and national heritage together.
