THE first reports of damage in West Fife caused by Storm Babet have come in.

A couple of incidents of trees having been brought down have been reported on social media this morning (Thursday) following strong winds and heavy rain.

A tree has fallen near Bandrum Nursing Home in Saline and is said to be "impassable."

And in Dunfermline, a tree fell near the cycle path on Pitdinnie Road.

It comes after an amber weather warning for rain and a yellow warning for wind was put in place for the West of Fife as Storm Babet hits most of Scotland.
