A 60-year-old Limekilns man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
Michael Saint, of Charles Way South, was also convicted of other sex offences after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
These included making sexual comments to another girl, aged 12, asking her to wear a bikini and to model for him.
The jury found Saint guilty of six of the seven charges he faced at the trial in September.
He repeatedly placed his hand on and stroked a girl’s leg and touched her breasts on various occasions between 2012 and 2015. The girl was 10 when the abuse started.
When she was 13, he began making sexualised comments to her about her body and appearance. He offered to buy her clothes if she allowed him to touch her.
He sent sexual messages to another girl from the age of 12. He repeatedly asked her to model for him, discussed her underwear, and asked her to wear a bikini for him. This took place between April 2020 and March 2021.
He was also guilty of communicating indecently with a woman by sending her sexual messages between December 2019 and March 2021.
Sheriff Charles Macnair had granted bail after calling for reports after the trial.
However, when he returned to court to be sentenced, Saint was jailed for 18 months and put on the sex offenders register.
