DETAILS of some of the many Remembrance services taking place in the area have been confirmed. 

The Abbey Church of Dunfermline will be hosting a moment of remembrance on Saturday,  November 11, at 10.55am.

There is also an Act of Remembrance taking place at Dunfermline's First World War Memorial on Monastery Street on Sunday, November 12, at 10.55am. 

Inverkeithing will have their Remembrance Day service in Inverkeithing Parish Church on Sunday, November 12, at 10.45am.

Everyone will be taken through the High Street to the War Memorial to lay their wreaths. After the service, those who take part can go to the Burgh Pub for refreshments. 

Aberdour will have two remembrance services. The first will be a short service on Saturday, November 11, at the War Memorial at 10.50am. The second, on Sunday, November 12, will be held in the Church Hall at 10am and then at the War Memorial at 10.55am. 

In Culross, the community council will lead a secular Remembrance Sunday Service on  November 12 at Culross War Memorial at 10.45am.

Culross Abbey will also hold a Remembrance Sunday service at 11am. 

In North Queensferry, there will be a service on Remembrance Sunday at the war memorial in the lower village, across from the Ferrybridge Hotel.

This will be preceded by a service in North Queensferry Parish Church at 10am. 

The Remembrance Service in Crossford begins on Sunday, November 12, at 10.45am. Residents, ex-service personnel and the local Scout Group will meet across from the village hall where the war memorial is located.

Wreaths will be laid at 11am after which participants will parade down the Main Street to Scout Hall for the service.

A Remembrance Service will take place at Cairneyhill Parish Church on Sunday, November 12, at 11.30am, and this will be followed by an Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial around 12.30pm.

There will be a Remembrance Sunday service in Limekilns Church at 10am and this will be followed by a procession to the Limekilns and Charlestown war memorial where wreaths will be laid. 

Kelty Community Council is hosting a remembrance service on Sunday, 12 November. Participants will gather at the ex-servicemen's club on Cocklaw Street at 10.20am and proceed to the war memorial on Station Road for the service.

Rosyth will also hold a service on Remembrance Sunday in Rosyth Parish Church. 

The Service of Remembrance at Tulliallan Kincardine Church is on Sunday, November 12, at 10.50am. There will be a retiring offering for Poppy Scotland.
