Get set to follow the yellow brick road, as The Wizard of Oz pantomime hits the Alhambra Theatre stage this festive season.

You could be in with a chance of winning tickets to see this spectacular, fun-filled production as the Dunfermline Press has teamed up with our friends at the Alhambra to give away five family tickets (valid for two adults and two children).

Once again, the Dunfermline theatre's show - produced in-house by the Alhambra Theatre Trust - stars panto legend Ian 'Sheepie' Smith, alongside an all-star supporting cast.

Audiences can once again expect dazzling sets, eye catching colourful costumes, and promises of fun and laughter for the whole family as Dorothy, her dog Toto, and her friends Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion embark on their adventures. A sweet or two might be thrown in for good audience behaviour.

The Alhambra's Christmas panto is widely regarded as one of the top shows in the country, and that was highlighted by last year's production receiving a nomination in the Great British Pantomime Awards. Kevin McLeod, who played the Professor in Beauty and the Beast, was nominated in the Best Supporting Artist category.

It was fantastic achievement to receive national recognition for the production. The Alhambra Theatre Trust’s nomination saw it ranked alongside some of the biggest theatres and venues in the UK, such as the London Palladium.

Last year’s Alhambra pantomime of Beauty and the Beast was enjoyed by over 25,000 patrons from all over Central Scotland and received five star reviews from press and audiences alike, and this year's production is set to be another hit.

The Wizard of Oz is at the Alhambra Theatre from December 7 to 28.

We've got tickets five family tickets to give away for the opening night's performance on Thursday, December 7, at 6pm, so our winners will be among the first to see the show.
