The Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland will be performing at Dunfermline's Carnegie Hall in support of Poppyscotland.

Following their performance in the Coronation Procession for King Charles III, the Royal Regiment Band are now on a national tour.

Scotland’s best-known military band are playing a series of concerts, titled 'Heroes of the Screen', to raise funds for the nation’s best-known Armed Forces charity.

Renowned for their performances at Holyrood Palace and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the talented musicians, led by new Director of Music, Major Brendan Wheeler, will stage their next show at the Carnegie Hall on the evening of Friday, December 1.

The show will include well-loved music from film and TV, as well as a folk-inspired collaboration with folk musician Alan Brydon.

Gordon Michie, Poppyscotland’s head of fundraising and learning, said: “This is an unmissable chance to hear the internationally acclaimed Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland at the beautiful Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline.

“The concert promises to be an unforgettable evening, featuring famous TV tunes and movie favourites, as well as folk music guaranteed to get your feet tapping.

“We’re very grateful to the Band for their continuing support. All funds raised will help us continue our vital work, supporting current and former servicemen and women and their families, which is needed more than ever during this cost-of-living crisis.”

The Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland is one of the 22 Regular Army bands, and is made up of musicians who are also serving soldiers. As well as supporting the Army and performing at ceremonial occasions across Scotland, they have also played around the world, travelling to Hong Kong, New Zealand, Switzerland and Canada in recent years.
