A NEW drive-thru bakery has officially opened in Halbeath.

A total of 18 jobs have been created at the new Stephens Bakery in Halbeath - on the site of the former Hotel Roma - which is the firm's third drive-thru facility in the Kingdom.

Joint Managing Director, Talia Sarafilovic, said the opening marked another milestone for Stephens Bakery which is celebrating its 150th birthday this year.

Stephens Halbeath will open daily from 6.30am to 5.30pm apart from Sundays when it will be open from 8am until 4.30pm.

With ample parking and a drive thru, it offers fresh rolls, cakes, soup, stovies, savouries and coffee.

The new store takes Stephens' shop total to 15 shops including three drive thru facilities. They also have partnerships with many local convenience stores including Coop, Scotmid, Morrisons Daily and independent retailers.
