A 38-year-old man with a “terrible record” stole a vehicle and then used someone’s bank card to fraudulently buy goods.
Alexander Dow, a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link.
He admitted that on July 3 or 4, 2021, at the Muirs, Kinross, while acting with another person he stole a vehicle.
He also admitted that on July 4, 2021, at Beath Services, High Street, Cowdenbeath, he used a stolen bank card to obtain goods worth £20.27 by fraud.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison said: “He’s got a chequered history in terms of his previous convictions and there has been a background of the misuse of heroin. He’s been around the block so many times.”
Sheriff David Hall told Dow: “You have a terrible record.”
He jailed him for 15 months backdated to May 26.
