A NEW network is set to start up this month in Dunfermline in the hopes of encouraging entrepreneurial and leadership skills in the city.

Inspiring women leaders will be sharing with us their journey to success, the challenges they faced and what kept them going at the first monthly meeting on January 29.

Lee Walls, from Firewalk Scotland, will be a guest speaker at the event. She said: "My work, and philosophy in life, is centred on freeing ourselves from self-limiting beliefs.

"When we do this, the sky really is the limit!”

Throughout the empowering evening, the event will celebrate the incredible journeys of inspiring women leaders.

Sunil Varu, economic adviser with Fife Council, is organising the monthly meetings and commented: “From January, we’ll start monthly networking meetings with inspiring women leaders.

"This is an opportunity to hear from women leaders, learn how they overcame barriers, took risks, became resilient and ultimately successful. We welcome all from the Dunfermline area to attend and be inspired.”

The network meetings are free to attend and open to all in the Dunfermline area interested in starting their own business or progressing their career.

The first meeting will take place on Monday, January 29 at the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum at 6pm.
