WORK is underway on three new houses at Chapel Farm near Aberdour.

Katie and Colin Izat, of Aberdeen, gained planning permission from Fife Council to redevelop a brownfield site that's 0.3 hectares in size.

The plot is north of the A921, between Aberdour and Dalgety Bay, and was used for agriculture up until 2017.

Old farm buildings were demolished and three single storey detached houses, with eight parking spaces and turning areas, will take their place.

Redevelopment has been on the cards for a while - a previous applicant tabled plans for four homes in 2013 - and the Izat's first gained consent for three homes in 2019.

Covid delayed those plans and a fresh application was approved with a commencement development notice confirming that work began on site on January 22.
