A 20 YEAR-OLD man died after being found injured in Rosyth in the early hours of Friday morning.

The alarm was raised and emergency services were called to the town just before 6am.

Police Scotland had closed King's Road and Albert Street and an ambulance and heavy police presence remained in the area until after 3pm.

The man has been named locally as Ryan King and, posting through their Facebook business page, parents Adrian and Fiona confirmed the tragic loss of their eldest son.

"We would like to say a massive thank you to the all the emergency services who attended the scene and to the local residents of Rosyth who helped Ryan before he passed away," they stated.

"We would also like to thank the residents of Albert Street who came out to speak to us yesterday when we were laying flowers, your support was heartwarming."

They added that it appeared as though Ryan may have had a seizure.

A Police spokesperson stated officers were called to the scene following concern for a man at around 5.45am.

"Emergency services attended and the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Next of kin are aware."
