OVERNIGHT resurfacing works are set to take place on the M90 near Halbeath for the next week.

Amey will be carrying out the works on behalf of Transport Scotland on the M90 southbound junction 3 off slip at Halbeath in Fife from Sunday, February 25 to Saturday, March 2.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night using overnight closures of the off slip.

The work will also include a lane closure on the M90 southbound leading up to the junction 3 off slip.

Work is scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Saturday, March 2.

Southbound traffic looking to exit the M90 at junction 3 can continue on the M90 and take the junction 2 exit for the A823 Dunfermline/Rosyth. Traffic can then turn at Pitreavie Roundabout before returning to the M90 and travelling northbound to exit at junction 3.

All work is weather-dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

Motorists can find real-time journey information on the Traffic Scotland website or on X  (formerly Twitter) @NETrunkRoads.
