Shirley-Anne Somerville, MSP for Dunfermline, is to take part in a virtual funding workshop.

The event is being held by the People’s Postcode Lottery and will provide local charities and volunteer organisations with advice on how they can apply for funds to make a difference in their community.

In 2023, players of the People’s Postcode Lottery raised over £208 million for good causes. Now they are raising over £18 million a month for over 14,500 charities.

Locally, players have raised over £74,000 for good causes across Dunfermline and West Fife.

Shirley-Anne said: “I am delighted to be co-hosting this funding workshop with People’s Postcode Lottery, which will provide local good causes with the knowledge and tools they need to access funding.

“I know that there are many groups and organisations in Dunfermline and West Fife that could benefit hugely from additional support.

"I would strongly encourage them to come along to this funding workshop and find out what is available.”
