AN ABERDOUR teenager is sketching up fundraising plans to help pay for a journey of a lifetime to Cambodia.

Fearne Riach, 14, who attends Inverkeithing High, is part of a group from the school taking part in the Camps International trip in the summer of 2025.

Faced with the task of raising £4,500 for the epic voyage, Fearne has decided to put her artistic skills to use to help up her current total.

She has completed several impressive pieces of art already featuring local landmarks and is also taking on commissions.

"I really love art so thought I would use that to help," said Fearne. "It has been amazing at how well it has gone. I have sold quite a lot already and am doing ones to order.

"I have done the clock tower, castle, boathouse but I am also doing custom sketches. People can ask for their homes to be done.

It is keeping me busy at the weekends.

"I like doing lots of line work and intricate stuff, a lot of industrial things. I am thinking about doing architecture. I enjoy it a lot."

The trip in 2025 offers a unique experience for S3 pupil Fearne and other participants which she is looking forward to.

"We will be working closely with rural Cambodian communities and helping them develop with projects. It is going to be very fun," she added.

"I think we are going to be there for four weeks. It is a great opportunity. We are going to be helping with projects like building new schools, some kindergartens, cleaning up the beaches, some reforestation."
