A Dunfermline man was caught by an undercover police officer when he sent messages discussing the sexual abuse of children.
Steven Fraser, 43, of Jennie Rennie’s Road, was found guilty by a jury after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He was convicted of a charge that between March 9 and May 12, 2022, in Dunfermline, Forth Valley College, Falkirk, and elsewhere, he engaged online via social media applications and telephone with a user called ‘Beth’, an undercover police officer, sent messages of a sexually explicit nature and discussed the sexual abuse of children.
Sentencing was deferred for reports until April 8.
