A drunk man with a “horrific” criminal record was arrested after making a nuisance of himself at Dunfermline bus station.
James Johnman, 33, of Paterson Lane. Cowdenbeath, appeared back in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on June 12, at Dunfermline bus station, he repeatedly made threats towards police officers.
Police had been called to the bus station at 8.30pm and heard Johnman causing a commotion there. He shouted he was “wanted” by police and ran away from officers who eventually caught up with him. He threatened that he would smash the face of one officer and he would stab them.
Johnman had been put on a structured deferred sentence for three months. When he returned to court, Sheriff John MacRitchie described Johnman’s record as “horrific”.
Sheriff MacRitchie had not imposed the structured deferred sentence but said that given that was the course the original sheriff had gone down, he would take the “exceptional” decision to admonish Johnman.
