A ROSYTH magician has been named 'Most Entertaining' at the Global Wedding Awards. 

Cameron Young, who has previously starred in Britain's Got Talent and Penn & Teller: Fool Us, was crowned one of the best magicians in the UK at the ceremony. 

He told the Press: "I did come runner up for Best Entertainer in Scotland for the Wedding Confetti Awards last year, and then this year I was nominated for this different award and ended up winning it, which I wasn't expecting considering it's a global award.  

"I’ll take it, definitely, the number one wedding magician in the UK!"

After being nominated for the award and putting forward his application, Cameron is delighted to have reached this milestone in his career, especially as he feels he is back on track after COVID. 

He continued: "Over the last couple of years I've done some pretty incredible things.

"I’ve been on Britain's Got Talent, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, I’ve also done a show with Penn Jillette’s child, Moxie Jillette, at the Edinburgh Fringe, which we called Young and Moxie, and then the weddings have just taken off so I'm now doing about 300 weddings a year. 

"This year’s going to be mental." 

Now Cameron is putting his focus on his show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His show, The Scottish Magician, will be performed nightly at 8.20pm from July 31 until August 26.
