Traffic has been slowed down on two Dunfermline roads after the speed limits were officially reduced 30mph this month.

The new limits came into operation in Lapwing Drive on March 6 and on Whitefield Road on Wednesday this week.

The changes follow a motion put forward back in November 2022 by Councillor James Calder who called for a reduction from 40mph.

After speed surveys had been carried out on Lapwing Drive, he asked the council to review the 40mph speed limits on three roads in the city.

They were Lapwing Drive, Carnegie Avenue and Whitefield Road and the changes were agreed in February 2023.
