A teenager drug-driver from Kelty was eight times over the limit for ketamine.
Lewis Gill, 19, of Keltyhill Avenue, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on October 14 on the A909 at its junction with Gordon Street, Cowdenbeath, he drove a car under the influence of drugs.
His reading was 160 microgrammes of ketamine per litre of blood, the legal limit being 20 microgrammes.
The court was told that when Gill was stopped by police at around 2am his speech was slurred and he was unsteady in his feet.
Sheriff Wylie Robertson imposed an interim driving ban. He deferred sentence until April 17 for reports.
The sheriff told Gill: “Serious disposals are being considered including custody.”
