A 41-year-old man, who drove when more than six times over the limit in Dunfermline, has been jailed.

Krzystofer Tomes also exposed himself to a young couple in an earlier incident.

Tomes, formerly of Broomhead Drive, is currently in prison and appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, accompanied by a Polish translator.

His offences also included dangerous driving on a roundabout and travelling the wrong direction in a one-way street.

He admitted that on November 1, 2022, at Guildhall Street, Dunfermline, he intentionally exposed his genitals to two people. He exposed his penis and buttocks to the occupants of a car.

He also damaged a car by repeatedly striking the bonnet.

On January 1, last year in Bothwell Street and St Margarets Drive, Dunfermline, he drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. His reading was 138 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 millilitres.

He further admitted he drove dangerously when he stopped on a roundabout, and carried out a three-point turn, causing other vehicles to take evasive action. He drove the wrong way on a one-way road, causing other vehicles to slow down to avoid a collision. He also drove without insurance.

Depute fiscal Catherine Stevenson said the drink-driving incident involved Tomes driving in the wrong direction on the southbound carriageway in Bothwell Street.

In the Guildhall Street incident, Tomes became angry after seeing a car driving into the street the wrong way when he was a pedestrian. The couple in the car were aged 18 and 21, complete strangers to Tomes and on their way to collect a food order.

Tomes became aggressive towards them, making gestures. The couple began taking a video of his conduct and Tomes reacted by exposing his penis and buttocks before sitting on the car bonnet.

Sheriff Wylie Robertson jailed Tomes for six months and banned him from driving for two years.
