As a company with a long association with Dunfermline, TechnipFMC is aware of the important role it can play in supporting the local community.

And that’s why the company was pleased to be able to get involved in supporting the Dunfermline Press Foodbank Appeal, ensuring those less fortunate receive the help they need.

Tracy Brogan, of TechnipFMC, said: “We like to get involved in the local community through our corporate social responsibility team, and we’re keen to make a difference in the local community. That’s why we’re sponsoring this appeal and supporting the foodbank.”

TechnipFMC’s Dunfermline campus is based at Pitreavie Business Park – as is Dunfermline Foodbank – so there have been previous opportunities to lend support to the organisation.

Tracy continued: “We’ve done some volunteer work with the foodbank, and we have supported the foodbank in the past for children at Christmas, and things like that as well.”

Dunfermline Press:

The Dunfermline campus is a world-class manufacturing and supply chain centre for well control products, specialising in complex subsea tree structures and flow control modules, which are exported to clients in many oil & gas regions around the world.

The manufacturing hub is supported by fully integrated supply chain, design, engineering, and product management teams onsite.

The facility also features the latest in machine tool and welding shop technology, with an assembly and test area.

TechnipFMC’s Dunfermline facility also features a local landmark - its wind turbine. The 1.5 megawatt turbine stands 100 metres tall. Since it began generating power in November 2011, it has supplied around 30 per cent of the power to the plant.

So TechnipFMC has quite a presence in Dunfermline, and aims to make sure that benefits not only the company but the wider community.

Tracy added: “We love to get involved, and we love to sponsor. As well as supporting the foodbank appeal, we’re also sponsors of the Dunfermline Press Community Champion Awards, recognising those in our community who are making a positive impact on people’s lives.”
