A Dunfermline man, who threatened to burn his former employer’s home down in a row over wages, has been jailed.
Gavin Williams, 38, of Izatt Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that between January 23 and 24, 2022, he repeatedly phoned a man in Shotts, repeatedly demanded money, made threats of violence to him and his family and repeatedly made threats to damage his property.
He also admitted that on 15th September 2022, at Izatt Avenue, he resisted police officers by refusing to walk and dropping to the ground, resisting removal from his home.
Depute fiscal Brogan Moffat said Williams had contacted his former employer about outstanding wages and had been paid £92.
However, Williams then contacted the man again to say he was still owed 40p and became abusive.
He repeatedly called and his threats included: “I’m going to come up there, burn the house, the motorhome and the truck.”
Sheriff Susan Duff jailed Williams for three and a half months.
