The deadline is fast approaching for submitting nominations for the Dunfermline Press / Central Fife Times Community Champion Awards 2024.

We're aiming to celebrate our unsung heroes from sport, business, charity, music, schools and everyday life, giving them their moment in the limelight, and receiving richly deserved plaudits for their achievements.

So if you know someone who you believe deserves to be one of our community champions, please let us know.

The closing date for nominations is Thursday, April 11, so please make your nominations at www.dunfermlinepress.com/community-champions as soon as possible.

Press editor Kevin McRoberts said: "“There are so many people doing good things to make West and Central Fife a better place, and it’s a pleasure and a privilege to be involved in being able to highlight their efforts.

“So many people step up to help those less fortunate than themselves, giving their time and energy to make other people’s lives that little bit better.

“We want to recognise, reward and thank these amazing people.”

There are 11 award categories – Entrepreneurial Champions, Champions Teacher of the Year, Community Champion of the Year, Heart of Gold (sponsored by Fife Council), Charity Champion of the Year, Sporting Champion of the Year (sponsored by Arnold Clark), Young Enterprise Champion (sponsored by TechnipFMC), Youth Community Champion (sponsored by Stagecoach), Little Champion of the Year, Live Music Award, and Health & Care Award.

Winners last year included musician Kirsten Adamson, who picked up the Live Music Award; and Kelty personal trainer Robyn Drummond, who won the Entrepreneurial Award for her successful health and fitness business.

Once all nominations have been received, our panel of judges will decide the finalists in each category. The winners will be revealed at our Community Champions Awards night in the Glen Pavilion, Dunfermline on Thursday, June 13.
