EMERGENCY services were called to reports of a house fire in Dunfermline yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
Both Fife Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service responded to the blaze, which took place on Brucefield Avenue.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.05pm on Wednesday, April 24, to reports of a dwelling fire on Brucefield Avenue, Dunfermline.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a two-storey property.
“Crews worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene at 3.51pm.
“No casualties have been reported.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “At around 2.20pm on Wednesday, April 24, officers received a report of a fire on Brucefield Avenue, Dunfermline.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue service and enquiries are ongoing.”
The residents confirmed to the Press that nobody was injured in the fire and that they are now staying with relatives.
