Woodlea Café and Bistro is celebrating a successful first ever Open Mic night at the end of last month.
The café, which is located on the outskirts of Crossgates, had a great evening on April 27 with performers including Stuart Imlah Williamson, Alan Black, and Renátó Vörös. There was also some exciting food on offer, with the menu including a range of items.
Some of the food on offer was gourmet tapas, mini burgers, nachos, as well as a range of hot and cold drinks.

Ray Fagan, who set up Woodlea Café and Bistro, said that it was “a really successful evening. I had a ball, it was fantastic.”
As previously reported in the Press, Ray was a director at Barclays Bank, but he had always had a passion for food and cooking.
He said that the event did not have high numbers but added: “It proved to us that this can work. It surpassed even my expectations.”
Woodlea is now planning its next Open Mic event for June 1.
