The peacocks in Pittencrieff Park are celebrating the arrival of a new peachick.
The first chick hatched on Tuesday and a second baby arrived the following day, but had to be rushed to a nearby vet.
The volunteers commented: “Zoe and Andrew welcomed the first 2024 chick on May 14.
“A beautiful little black shoulder baby who will be named when we can determine if it’s a peacock or peahen which will be around the age of 12 weeks.”

The second baby was very weak and needed assistance from Alba Vet, who were “extremely supportive”.
“Carlyn took the baby home that night and it sadly passed away peacefully.
"The public have been extremely supportive as always and generously donated to a Gofundme, which has been used to pay the vet and the remainder will be used to buy medical equipment for the treatment room.
“Our amazing Louis is set to be a daddy for the second time, with first time mum Angel sitting on five eggs, due to hatch from May 21.”
