A 29-year-old man was sentenced to unpaid work for causing a disturbance but failed to do it.
A woman was left feeling “scared” when Steven Hutton shouted and made a threat when holding a piece of wood.
Hutton, of Forth Gardens, Oakley, appeared back at Dunfermline Sheriff Court after breaching a community payback order imposed in March last year.
He had admitted that on January 6, 2022 at Haig Crescent, Dunfermline, he shouted at a woman and made a threat whilst holding a piece of wood.
Depute fiscal Catherine Stevenson previously told the court that Hutton had shouted that a female had better open the door “or else”.
The woman was left feeling “nervous and scared” she added.
Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon said he had considered a custodial sentence in place of the unpaid work.
Instead, he put Hutton on a four-month restriction of liberty order.
