THOUSANDS of people descended on Rosyth at the weekend to make the town's annual gala a soaring success.
The day even included a guest appearance from First Minister John Swinney who popped in while on the election campaign trail in West Fife.
Visitors were treated to an array of activities which included fun fair rides, inflatables, Astral Circus and entertainment including music and wrestling performances.

Volunteer Lorraine Mayne, a trustee for Rosyth Community Projects, said the good weather helped to bring in the crowds.

"It was a slow start because it was quite cloudy but the crowds started to pick up," she said.
"It was probably smaller numbers to what we have had in the last couple of years but I would say that there was at least 8,000 people, it could have been a little more, based on the wristbands sold.

"Between the free ones and the sold ones, we distributed over 2,000.
"It is so well supported by the community and the wider villages beyond. They know it is great value to keep the kids entertained for a tenner. It is excellent value for money."
