IT'S the hope that kills you.
Scotland took on Germany in the opening match of Euro 24 last night and 3,000 fans crammed into KDM Group East End Park to watch the action on two big screens.
Ok, the result wasn't what we wanted, the hosts won 5-1, but there was a brilliant atmosphere at the Dunfermline City Fan Zone and plenty of food, drink and entertainment.
Pars official photographer, Craig Brown, took some cracking photos and captured the hope, expectation, agony and ecstasy you get from following the national team.
Ah well, bring on the Swiss.
