A SECTION of Grange Road in Dunfermline will be closed again for more gas works.
Fife Council have approved a temporary prohibition of use order which will see the route shut to traffic, from the junction at Dickson Street (Elgin Industrial Estate) to the entrance of Grange Mount, for just over three weeks.
The closure, from Monday August 19 to Wednesday September 11 or earlier completion of the job, is to allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out.
Last September SGN told the Press that a section of Grange Road would have to shut for "approximately 20 weeks" while they carried out work at their Dunfermline depot gas holder station.
And in January they announced another temporary closure, this time for three weeks, from the junction at Dickson Street to the junction for Hill Cottages.
When the latest work gets underway on August 19, there will be a signed diversion via Elgin Street, Nethertown Broad Street, St. Leonards Street, Hospital Hill, Queensferry Road, Primrose Lane and Grange Road.
Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained.
