Stagecoach East Scotland have donated £4,420 to two Dunfermline charities during an event at Pittencrieff Park.
The bus firm attended this summer's Dunfermline Children's Gala and gave away free items and displayed one of their electric vehicles.
Images of peacocks were hidden on the bus for children to find, and they could enter a prize draw to win a £50 voucher for the entertainer Kace Ferguson.
And employees enjoyed the day so much they decided to help, with Stagecoach giving £2,210 to the committee towards next year's gala day and £2,210 to the peacock sanctuary in the Glen.
The firm had committed to donating £1 from every journey into Dunfermline on the day of the Gala and 4,420 people travelled in by bus.
Douglas Robertson, managing director for Stagecoach East Scotland, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be donating so much to the Dunfermline Children's Gala and peacock sanctuary.
"We love attending the gala which is a calendar highlight in the area, bringing so many into the city and it is always such a memorable experience for kids and families across the community.
"With so much to see and do in Dunfermline, including a visit to the famous peacock sanctuary, it’s great to help support both these charities and help bring even more people into the area, now and for years to come."
Suzi Ross, lead peafowl warden, said: "The volunteers from Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park are very grateful for the generous donation that was received from Stagecoach and their customers.
"This money will be going towards the new aviary extension which will allow us to incorporate a new nursery enclosure to be used by mums and new babies or for sick/injured birds and give the birds who are segregated, the chance to spend some time outside.”
Kenny Anderson, a member of the gala committee, said: “We’re beyond grateful for the wonderful donation to Dunfermline Children’s Gala.
“The gala is part of the city’s heritage, a true community event run entirely by volunteers, and we’re determined to keep it going for all of Dunfermline’s children and families, past, present and future."
