A pre-school in Dunfermline has received high praise from His Majesty's Inspectors of Education.
Their report noted the "high-quality nurturing" and supportive relationships among the staff, children and families at Pitreavie Playgroup.
They also commended the "highly motivated" youngsters who are eager to learn.
Fiona Barcroft, manager of Pitreavie Playgroup for the past 24 years, said: "We are delighted to receive such a positive report.
"I am very proud of our achievements, particularly the strong progress our children are making in their learning and the hard work and commitment of all our staff."
Inspectors went on to praise the "excellent support" provided to children and families at the playgroup.
They recognised the effective teamwork among staff, very good progress in children's learning and positive feedback from parents.
