A Rosyth drug-driver, who was almost three times over the limit for cannabis, has been given a one-year ban.
Craig Bingham, 47, of Linton Place, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on 10th April last year at Kings Road, Rosyth, he drove with excess cannabis in his system.
His reading was 5.9 microgrammes of THC per litre of blood, the limit being 2 microgrammes.
Bingham had been put on structured deferred sentence which is now at an end.
Defence solicitor Allan Davie previously said: “His son was having a mental health crisis and he jumped in the car. He didn’t think he would be over the limit.”
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane imposed a year-long ban.
