A man punched and kicked his wife during an assault in Dunfermline.
Martin McDonald, 41, now living at Holburn Place, Rosyth, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on August 24, at Broom Grove, Dunfermline, he assaulted his wife.
He slapped her on the face, seized hold of her clothing and threw her to the floor.
He repeatedly kicked her on the body and repeatedly punched and slapped her on the head, all to her injury.
The court was told the victim sustained bruising to her face and arms, a cut lip, bleeding ear and sore ribs.
Sheriff Susan Duff deferred sentencing for reports until October 9.
