A ROSYTH man has been told he “should know better” following an incident with his former partner.
Lee Hughes blocked the woman’s car and tried to open the door.
Hughes, 50, of Tyrwhitt Place, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 27th July at Unwin Avenue, Rosyth, he shouted, swore, made an offensive remark, attempted to open a car door of his ex-partner and positioned his vehicle behind her vehicle, preventing her from leaving.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the couple had separated after 16 years together.
Following the incident, the woman ran from her car and was given a lift by another motorist.
Sheriff Susan Duff commented: “He’s a 50-year-old man who should know better.
“Emotions were running high but this is not the way to react.”
The sheriff imposed a community payback order with 100 hours of unpaid work.
