A woman was severely injured and scarred in a knife attack by her partner.
The assailant was 21-year-old Lewis McDonald, described as a prisoner, when he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on April 27 at Redshank Crescent, Dunfermline, he assaulted his partner by striking her on the face with a knife to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Sheriff Krista Johnston called for reports and McDonald will be sentenced on October 17.
