A DRUG-DEALER was caught by police after they stopped his car on the motorway near Rosyth.
Officers found Murdo Friel trying to hide the cocaine in his underwear.
Friel, 20, of High Street, Strathmiglo, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on April 8 last year on the M90 at Rosyth, he was concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Depute fiscal Christine Allan said that when police stopped Friel’s vehicle there was a strong smell of cannabis within it.
He was the sole occupant, was “visibly nervous” and officers saw that his jeans were unbuttoned.
Friel then admitted he had put a quantity of cocaine his underwear.
The drugs had a potential value of £880 and there was also £250 in cash in the car.
Defence solicitor Gino Gambale said his client “was helping his friend with this drug-dealing enterprise and was acting as the courier.”
Sheriff Krista Johnston imposed a community payback order with 130 hours of unpaid work and nine months of supervision.
