Fife weather: Yellow warnings issued due to Storm Bram

Two weather warnings have been issued for Fife, with the Kingdom set to be hit with heavy rain and strong winds.

The Met Office is displaying the alerts on its website, with possible disruption lasting over two days.

It says: “Heavy rain may cause some travel disruption on Tuesday morning.

“Strong winds may cause some disruption during Tuesday afternoon onwards overnight into Wednesday.”

A statement goes on to explain that Storm Bram will cross over from England overnight.

It says: “Gusts around 50-60 mph are possible fairly widely, and potentially in excess of 70 mph for some exposed headlands and high ground.”

The warning comes after a night of heavy downpour that resulted in flooding today (Monday) across areas of Dunfermline and Rosyth.
