Limited sunshine is expected only in the early hours, with brighter intervals predicted between 6am and 9am before thicker cloud cover returns.
The likelihood of rain is much less significant than Saturday, ranging between 10 per cent and 20 per cent throughout midday.
There's a short window of possible light rain at 1pm, with a 20 per cent chance.
Wind speeds will reduce in comparison to Saturday, with maximum gusts reaching 17mph and typical speeds resting between 6mph and 8mph.
Humidity will vary from a high of 92 per cent to a low of 44 per cent, and pollen levels will be moderate, potentially affecting some allergy sufferers anew.
For the weekend, Dunfermline can expect a mixed bag: Saturday will be apt for indoor plans or minor outdoor excursions between showers due to the stronger winds and elevated probability of rain.
Sunday could be more suitable for extended outdoor activities, despite the persistent cloud and cooler temperature, with lighter winds and only minor chances of a shower.
