Flood damage has forced a Dunfermline restaurant to close its doors for the weekend following heavy rainfall across the area.
Jack ‘O’ Bryan’s, on Chalmers Street, announced the temporary closure on social media after the building suffered structural damage linked to the recent spell of unseasonal summer weather.
In a statement, the Coghill family said the restaurant had experienced “excessive water storm damage to the building,” leaving it unable to operate safely.
They added: “Unfortunately the restaurant will be closed for this weekend due to structural damage caused by the unseasonal summer Scottish weather.
“This has resulted in the restaurant suffering from excessive water storm damage to the building.
“Apologies to our customers, moving forward we will be in contact once the damage has been assessed to let everyone know when the restaurant will re-open.
“Again we are very sorry.”
The closure comes after flooding impacted parts of Dunfermline, with businesses and residents dealing with the aftermath of heavy downpours.
It is not yet known how long the restaurant will remain closed, with a reopening date expected once a full assessment of the damage has been carried out.
