SING in the City will be warbling its way to Dalegty Bay due to the overwhelming success of its latest choir start-up in Dunfermline.
The contemporary choir first started in Edinburgh back in 2010, with only 35 members. Now it has more than 560 members and has seen a keen appetite for hitting the high notes from West Fife singers.
Coach Elaine Dove, who was born in Dalgety Bay, said: “We launched our second choir in Dunfermline back in January and it filled up quickly with 70 members going now.
“We’ve had such a good response from the Fife area so we decided to start our first group in the daytime as we know not everyone is available through the day.
“There’s a huge amount of people who say they can’t sing but everyone can do it a bit, especially when there’s lots of voices.”
Sing in the City’s newest choir will meet at Dalgety Bay Community Centre on Monday, March 20 from 10am-12pm.
There’s no audition, trials are free and to book a space, email hello.singinthecity@choiredinburgh.co.uk.
