ABBEYVIEW locals witnessed police batter down a door at an address in the estate as they responded to a concern for a person inside.
Last night (Thursday), dozens of police officers swarmed the flat in Dunfermline's Trondheim Parkway.
Roads were blocked off and residents were told to stay indoors as police dealt with the incident at around 4.45pm.
Via their Twitter account, Police Scotland said officers had been responding to a "concern for person call".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Fife were called to an address in the Trondheim Parkway area of Dunfermline at around 4.45pm on Thursday 2 November following concerns for an individual.
"No-one was injured as a result and the incident was resolved."

Neighbours witnessed the home's door being forced open with armed units in attendance in what was described as a "normally quiet area".
One resident told the Press: "I looked out of the window and saw police everywhere.
"I wasn't sure what it was but when you see that many police crowding outside a home, you know it's going to be quite a serious incident.
"You just don't know these days."
Concerned neighbours had taken to social media to suggest there had been a "hostage situation".
