THE old Courtyard bar in Glasgow City Centre has opened to the public following a major transformation.

Cùl Cùil is now officially the latest addition to the city’s bustling social scene.

The 185-year old venue, on West Nile Street, has seen an extensive makeover, with the Cùl Cùil team having revamped the entire space.

A brand new lounge bar has been added in, as well as a group dining area and a new light, open-air and heated backyard garden space, also known as the winter garden.

From above a glass enclosed, tiered mezzanine, punters lucky enough to grab a seat are able to take advantage of a balcony view over a twinkly festoon-lit garden patio.

The Cùl Cùil team promises something “completely different from anything else in the city.”

The opening weekend from Friday September 28 to Sunday 30 will see customers get free fizz and selected beers, half-price cocktails, two-for-one sharing platters and other Cùl Cùil treats from 5pm onwards.
