DUNFERMLINE gaffer Jim McIntyre revealed Pars winger David Graham could be back in action within two weeks.

Graham has been out of action for more than a month after he went under the knife for ankle surgery.

The 27-year-old had been bothered with the injury for a year and had an operation on the ligaments in his right ankle.

McIntyre said, “He’s back running with the physio.

“If he gets a full week this week and hopefully gets a bit of training with the rest of the group the following week then that should be him.” McIntyre hailed his players’ fighting qualities as he admitted his team’s form means the next game can’t come quickly enough.

He said, “When you’re playing well and winning you’re looking forward to the games.

“We’ve got another tough fixture away to Queen of the South but we’ve got a good record down there so we go there with confidence.

“We’re defending better. There have still been mistakes and at Ibrox we had five really poor mistakes and it cost us.

“But players make mistakes and it’s how you react to those mistakes that matters and that was the most pleasing factor on Saturday.

"They went out there and defended for their lives against Partick and showed great character and determination to get the three points when it was a kind of nothing game.

“It was vital we showed a good reaction to the Rangers result. There was never any doubt in my mind that we would but to keep a clean sheet was very pleasing and I thought the back four and Gary Mason were superb.” The Pars had to make do without winger Willie Gibson on Saturday after a dead leg ruled him out on the morning of the game but he will be fit for the trip to Queens.

Steven Bell had also missed a couple of days’ training after celebrating the birth of his child.
