IT’S FOUR wheels good, two wheels better for car-driving champ Kenneth Thirlwall at Knockhill this weekend.
He’s making his bike racing debut at the West Fife circuit after making his name as one of the fastest Formula Ford drivers in Scotland.
It’s an unusual switch for the 26-year-old, who has been a regular at Knockhill and won multiple races and championships behind the steering wheel.
But on Saturday and Sunday, at the Knockhill Motor Sports Club meeting, he’ll be racing a Kawasaki Lightweight Super Twin.
Thirlwall has decided 2016 will be a learning year but he hopes to be near the sharp end of the grid by the end of the season.
This is the first bike meeting of the year at Knockhill and will feature all the regular classes of the Scottish Superbikes, Clubmans, 125s and 600s with guest races of the MT125.
For more information, call Knockhill on 01383 723337. Adult tickets are £13.
