THE MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship roars into Knockhill this weekend – and you could be there thanks to our fantastic competition.

Press Sport has teamed up with Knockhill – Scotland’s national motorsport centre – to give one lucky reader the chance to win a family three-day event pass for two adults and two concessions.

Round four of the championship, widely regarded as the premier domestic superbike racing series in the world, will bring thrilling two-wheel action for fans of all ages to West Fife from tomorrow (Friday) to Sunday.

As well as a family pass – worth £115 – we also have a fantastic runner-up prize of three pairs of Sunday adult race day tickets to give away for those who are quickly off the starting grid.

Our lucky winners will also be able to enjoy the resumption of a titanic battle on Sunday when a Scotland v England Pro-Am Challenge takes place in support of the superbikes.

Not only will it feature a team of eight Scottish riders against eight of their English counterparts on identical Yamaha RD250LCs – similar to those that have featured at the British Grand Prix over the past couple of years – but it also includes the return of three-time British Superbike champion Niall Mackenzie.

Whilst the English contingent is a closely guarded secret, the Scottish team, managed by Mackenzie, includes a who’s who of Scottish success including Brian Morrison, Iain MacPherson, John Crawford, Donny McLeod, Stuart Easton, Iain Duffus, Joe Toner and Dunfermline’s own Sandy Christie.

Stuart Gray, Knockhill director of events, said: “We are simply thrilled and excited to be hosting the Yamaha 350LC Anglo Scottish Challenge. The line-up of riders in both teams is simply legendary and to see many of these riders come out of retirement to take part really does show the level of interest from both sport and the fans. Regardless of the result and which team wins, each and every rider has the pedigree of a champion and deserves and accolades and cheers from the crowd. I am sure they will be exhausted from signing autographs with the fans too! Good luck to all the riders, have fun, and let the action begin!”

For your chance to win, all you have to do is pick up your copy of today's Press for details on how to enter.
